Co2 Gun Leak Advice

Co2 gun leak advice.

Just wanted to share some information with you regarding C02 guns.
Leaks from the co2 cartridge seem to be very common, especially if the cartridge is left in the gun for any length of time. Manufacturers recommend to not leave the co2 cartridge in the gun, and to remove it after shooting.

It is recommended to use pellgun oil or silicone grease or oil on the end of the cartridge before inserting it in the gun.

This is NOT necessary if you are using the Shootfish Co2 sealpro.

What is the shootfish Co2 sealpro?.

The sealpro is a rubber cap that fits on the nipple of the Co2 cartridge and stops Co2 leaks from the Co2 seal.
Also we have found that when using the sealpro the cartridge can be left in the gun for a long time with no leakage.

Out of hundreds sold worldwide, we have had no complaints about the product. If a gun still leaks after fitting the sealpro, it is probably leaking from the valve that the hammer strikes, which would need reapairing.

When changing the co2 cartridge any remaining gas that comes out when releasing the co2 cartridge will freeze the sealpro. It is recommended to let the seal unfreeze before re-using it.

It varies from gun to gun, but we estimate 2-3 uses from a seal. Even if the seal is split near the bottom, as long as the top is not split, the seal should still work. Do not over tighten the co2 cartridge when using the sealpro because less pressure is needed when using them.

If the sealpro fails to stop your leak, it is possible the gun could be leaking from the valve, and not the co2 seal. If this is the case the gun would have to be stripped down and have o rings replaced.

We hope the sealpro works for you, and would ask that you share this information with any other co2 gun users that you meet.
